Principal Bio
You will notice several changes happening throughout the school building for this upcoming school year. We will be implementing PBiS school wide in January, continuing to modify our standards-based report cards, and welcoming in many new teachers. We also have a few teachers taking on new roles. Juli Beck will transfer from resource to preschool. Eileen Lay will transition from second grade to kindergarten. Angie Stanley will take over as our school's choir instructor. We are very excited to introduce our new hires and welcome them all into the “Lion Pride”. Natasha Vavra, a former Lincoln elementary teacher and in-home preschool teacher, has been hired to teach kindergarten for us. A Louisville alum, Morgan Manley, will be our upper elementary resource teacher. Melissa Schmitt will be teaching third grade after teaching in Omaha. A US Air Force veteran, Becky Speer, will be our new K-12 art instructor. Connor Luedtke, a recent graduate of UNO, will take over Louisville’s 5-12 band program. The 2019-2020 school year will be an awesome opportunity for everyone to learn and grow. GO LIONS! Shane Mathis Elementary Principal |
